Have you ever wanted to be that person who knows everyone, sort of like our friend above but with MUCH better style? The person who always “has a guy” when you need something is an invaluable resource to your network, but why not be that person? They are called connectors. Connectors have a natural ability to make friends, talk to people they don’t know and others just seem to gravitate towards them.

IF that isn’t you, that is okay. It is a skill that can be learned! If THIS GUY, the most socially awkward person on the planet, can be a connector-you can too! He may be socially awkward, but he is hilarious and that draws people to him. What is the thing that will draw people to you? It may not be humor, but you most certainly have something.

What is extremely important is how you engage with people when you have their attention. Be curious because you can’t connect people together if you don’t know what they need! This will tremendously boost your critical networking skill of Givers Gain. When you are working hard at being a giver, great things will happen!
